One of the greatest prayer we make as young people is that
God should connect us to the right people at the right time and place.
Being at the right place at the right time is very important
in fulfilling our purpose in life.
Most times the company we keep make us not to get to the
right place God wants us to get to. You must free yourself from negative people;
spend time with nice people who are smart, driven and likeminded. Your
relationships should help you, not hurt you. You must surround yourself with
people who reflect the person you want to be, choose friends who you are proud
to know, people you admire, who love and respect you, and people who make your
day a little brighter simply by being in it. Life is too short to spend time
with people who suck the happiness out of you. When you free yourself from
negative people, you free yourself to be you and being you is the only way to
truly live.
Note that where you are today is not an accident, God has a
reason for allowing things happen, we may never understand His wisdom but we
simply have to trust His will. He is preparing you for the great things He
wants you to achieve. It could involve your job, career, relationships, your
neighborhood where you live or volunteering at your church. One thing is
certain: when God calls, it’s your time. We’re tempted to think we are waiting
for some other time or more important opportunity. No, you don’t get to choose
your time; God does that! Where you are at that point is where He wants you to
be and learn the necessary things to move forward.
God sends special people to guide us. He sends persons who
know you well enough to help clarify your calling, goals, vision, who loves you
well enough to challenge you when you get off track, or strengthen you when you
want to quit and turn back.
Not one of us is a composite of all of lives virtues; we all
have blind spots and weaknesses that’s why God sends others and why we need
them.
God also sends men and women who will help you fulfill the
purpose and vision He has for you. He sends you the people He wants you to meet
on a daily basis.
There are people God
will bring in your life that once you meet them you will know that yes this
people are God sent. I always make this prayer “God connect me to the people
you want me to meet today that will affect me positively and when I meet them
let me know”.
Most times we have met the people that God has plan for us
to meet but we let them go based on what we feel about their externals.
I urge you today to always concentrate on your first
impression on others because it has a long way of affecting you and your
purpose in life. Have a great month.
